- Sony Kapoor is an ex-investment banker and derivatives trader who has played a prominent role in the international work on promoting multilateral debt cancellation, utilizing innovative sources of financing for development, assessing the development impact of tax havens and promoting a more development friendly international financial system. Mr Kapoor has worked extensively with prominent international investment banks such as Lehman brothers and ICICI (Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India), various international organizations such as the World Bank and the UN, international NGOs such as Oxfam and Action Aid and with several governments including the German government. He was until recently also a strategy adviser to the ministry of foreign affairs in Norway.
